Work days with disk crits: M 4/1, W 4/3, M 4/8. Due Printed: W 4/10 
W 4/10:  Start final work

Assignment:
Pick 3 artists to look at, ones that inspire you.  

1)   traditional artist,   2)   digital painter (including concept art for example), 

3)   can be another one of these or graphic novelist. 

Post images to blog with name of artist and name of work.  Discuss in class.

 Emphasize 1 of the 3 artists: one image particularly. 

Tell us about it by examining the visual language of art: line, shape on the picture plane (positive/negative games), form in 3D space, light, color: limited palette?, high or low chroma? high or low contrast of value? atmospheric perspective? composition? depth? drama? emotional content. In sum:  How does this artist and this work inspire you?

Do a work influenced by this artist - and possibly other 2 also!
