You guys are using The Skillful Huntsman as reference. But really you are using one of the three artists. Forget his name. Yamado I think. So you have to look not only at his excellent preliminary silhouettes - but at how he develops those into finished character designs. I know you are starting to do that, but LOOK through the book as ALL of his figurative work to see what he does. (Would not hurt to look at concept art too.) Good Luck!
