My first brush was created using a picture of ink in water! Click here for the image, it's pretty cool! I manipulated the layer of the picture with the layer of some brush strokes and it ended up looking like a cloud of smoke when repeated on the page.
My second brush can only be described as a waffle fry! It was made by using a picture of the ocean. Then I changed a lot of the brush settings such as shape dynamics, texturing and scattering.
