Brush Tests: Camo and Fan

Camo Brush



1. Select the brush numbered 23 in the brush presets

2. Select Shape Dynamics and set the percentage to 25% for Size Jitter

3. Set Angle Jitter to 5.8%

4. Select the Scattering box and set Scattering to 393%

5. Select Texture and set the Scale to 1000%, Brightness to -150, Contrast to -17, Depth to 59% and Depth Jitter to 65%

6. In Color Dynamics, set  Foreground/Background Jitter to 72%, Hue Jitter to 65%, Saturation Jitter to 14%, Brightness Jitter to 43%, and Purity to -13%

7. Select Transfer and set Opacity Jitter to 33%

8. Make sure Wet Edges, Build-up, Smoothing, and Protect Texture are all checked


Note: This brush works best at a larger scale




Fan Brush


1. Select the brush numbered 25

2. Set the Bristles to 37%, the Length to 115%, Thickness 197%, Stiffness 48%, Angle 83 degrees, and the Spacing to 101%

3. Make sure the Shape Dynamics box is checked but keep the Angle Jitter at 0%

4. In the Texture box, set the Scale to 579%, the Brightness to 64, the Contrast to 44 and the Depth to 51%

5. In Color Dynamics, set Purity to +93%

6. In Transfer, set Flow Jitter to 51%

7. Lastly, make sure Noise and Smoothing are checked
